Travel Information
Detailed guides on how to reach us via different transport methods.
Travelling by Car
Access from the M6 Motorway is incredibly straightforward:
- Turn off the M6 at Junction 18 and take the A54 to Middlewich (approx. 2 miles).
- At the traffic lights in Middlewich, turn left (towards Sandbach).
- Follow the road around the bend, and the turning for Wych House Lane will be on your left, directly opposite the Middlewich Library.
Travelling by Train
Please note: Middlewich does not have its own train station. The best nearby alternatives are:
- Winsford Station: Approx 3 miles away. Direct buses run from the station to Middlewich (alight at St. Michaels & All Angels church, a 1-minute walk from the yard).
- Sandbach & Holmes Chapel: Both are short taxi rides away.
- Crewe Station: A major hub with fast links from London Euston (approx. 2 hrs), Birmingham, and Glasgow. From Crewe, you can take a direct taxi or bus to Middlewich.
Travelling by Air
If you are flying in to start your holiday:
- Manchester or Liverpool Airports: You can take a train to Crewe and then a taxi/bus, or simply book a direct taxi straight from the airport to our boatyard.
- London Heathrow: Travel into central London to Euston station, then catch a direct train to Crewe.
- London Gatwick: Take a train to London Victoria, use the Underground to reach Euston, then travel by rail to Crewe.
Local Taxis & Transport
If you are arriving at a nearby train station or airport, we highly recommend booking a local taxi in advance to bring you directly to the yard with your luggage.
